On Maxbit there are two main ways to trade crypto: Quick Buy-Sell to trade instantly, and Limit Buy-Sell to set the price you want in advance. This article explains the difference and when to use each.
Quick Buy-Sell: trade instantly at the market price
Buy and sell prices update in real time. Enter an amount and confirm, and the system fills your order at the market price straight away.
- Enter either a coin amount or a THB amount.
- Shortcut buttons for 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of your balance.
- Fees and Slippage Tolerance are shown before you confirm.
Limit Buy-Sell: set your price in advance
Set the price you want to buy or sell at and the amount. The order stays open and is filled when the market reaches your price.
- Choose a pair, such as BTC/THB or a USDT pair.
- Open the Limit tab and enter the price and amount; the total is calculated for you.
- Tap Buy or Sell to place the order.
- Check open orders on the trade and history pages, and cancel them at any time.
Side-by-side
- Speed: Quick fills instantly / Limit waits until the price reaches your target.
- Price control: Quick uses the current market price / Limit trades only at your price.
- Best for: Quick suits beginners and urgent trades / Limit suits traders with a clear target price.
Things to watch out for
- Quick: the price you get may differ slightly from the price shown when the market is volatile or liquidity is low. Check the net amount before confirming.
- Limit: if the market never reaches your price, the order may not be filled.
- For large trades, consider OTC Service.
